Professional Experience
Dr. Hardrict has worked in community psychiatry for over 20 years, including Correctional Psychiatry for
the Department of Corrections for 9 years. He provided services at all of the state facilities – including
the Minnesota Sex Offender Treatment programs. He has held the position of Vice Chief of Psychiatry
Services at HealthEast St. Joseph Hospital and he is the former Mental Health Director for Open Cities
Clinic. He holds the positions of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Assistant Professor in the
Department of Family Practice at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Hardrict is a first generation physician. He was inspired to enter the field of medicine by his mother,
who was a nurse with the Veteran’s Administration in St. Louis, Missouri. Community service includes
participation in his church and providing direct psychiatric care of underserved populations.
Hobbies
Mission work, roller skating, watching movies, traveling and spending time with grand kids.
